Through the motions

Tides of sadness and anger
roll through an ocean of emotions,
hitting like a tsunami.
Knocking down long built barriers
leaving behind a path of destruction
for years to come.
Raging madness throws knives
in the form of words
in a desperate attempt to find inspiration.
When stricken upon
happiness ensues until the storm
passes through again.
It won't be long... never is.

Well written, I enjoyed the lines:
"roll through an ocean of emotions,
    hitting like a tsunami."

Ups and downs aye, remember what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, and the sun always rises in the morning!
    Good luck!
