Fused

I consumed from the depths of your eyes
Now I thirst for more
Devoured the words tumbling past your lips
Still no wiser than before
Inhaling your essence
Unable to resist
Ingesting your being entirely, savoring your nourishing soul
Which will be the death of me
Since I have found peace in you
Now we are eternally fused
Just as it should be

  5. I am not up for being devoured, and always feel there should be something of the Other they also get to keep, but you do paint a persuasive, if rather vampiric, picture--I like the language in the first few lines especially.

  6. There's a bitter beauty to being fused that way; becoming so entangled in each other can only lead to heartbreak in the end.
