No Regrets

Dear You know who,

I resent the way you look upon my decisions
I resent the way you look at my life
It's not yours to live or control
It's mine
And I regret NOTHING

I know why I made those choices...
I knew what I was getting into
I know the me inside my head
I'm sorry you don't
And I regret NOTHING

I regret nothing
I regret nothing

And I'm sorry if you do
But I refuse to give you control

Dana

  1. I love it Dana... I hope whoever it is focused on gets to read it, but if it is like it is with me, they probably won't. I commend you for at least getting it out and writing it down.

  2. You are right, Dana. It is your life to control, no one else's. Your choices are yours, and you know you made them having good reason. Your poem expresses a lot of strength of belief. I commend that!

  8. The comments, how mean. How do you know the person never reads what you write. Maybe the person dose. Only that person will know the truth. We are all in control of our lifes, no one else. I feel sorry for that person you were talking about. How mean this was & I hope the person never reads it. And if that person dose read it, I hope the person see the true you & how mean you are

    1. Don't assume you know who this is talking about... because you don't.

To have great poets... there must be great audiences
~ Walt Whitman

Thank you for being that audience!
