Watch Me Burn

Burning from the inside
Sweating passion from every pore
I'm consumed with a hunger
To live like never before

Watch me turn this life around
Watch me turn the world upside down
Watch me trip
Watch me fall
Watch me stand again
To conquer all

Dana

  11. very nice, rhythmic and lyrical. Would love to see this expanded into a song with more verses, you have the refrain/chorus, really nice to work around. This is what I love about lyrics, when you can isolate a part of one, that works as poetry, it's a terrific foundation for songwriting, how I approach it anyhow. Really liked this. Thanks

    1. Thank you very much! I just might have to work on that! I've tried writing one song in the past and it pretty much stunk... but this one has already started out better! I appreciate your comment.

To have great poets... there must be great audiences
~ Walt Whitman

Thank you for being that audience!
