Wandering

Wandering eyes, Wandering mind
 Marred heart
Searching for that missing piece
Buried beneath fertile green earth
Feeding the roots of ancient trees
Cavorting among stars and mingling with the moon
Whispering hints with the aid of the wind
Like a lost lover
Kissing skin with each wave crashing upon the shore
Echoing through lonely mountain tops
A ghost among the shadows
Waiting, Wanting to be found
Longing to mend the hole
That would complete my soul

Dana

  3. I do think many people spend a lifetime searching for a missing piece, but perhaps if they would look within it would be there? And yes, the desire to be found...I think this is different than the search, but something all yearn for as well; and sometimes it happens. Smiles.

    1. Your right... some only have to look within for the pieces to be found, then others have to look beyond themselves for a change and view the world around them.

    1. Sometimes you have to go on a journey to discover how to love yourself which can take you to places you've never been.... just to find out that it's been with you every step of the way.

  13. Very touching. This reminds me of a dear friend who is taking their first tentative steps in searching for a new life partner, years after losing her first.
