Poem: Cardinal

                                             Cardinal

A rare winters' day brings forth a gift.
Brilliant red among grey falling snow perches upon a branch
A flighty body of delicate feathers shaking off shining droplets of ice.
Stopping just a moment so the world may glimpse a thing of beauty.
A simple reminder to seek a silver lining.

To have great poets... there must be great audiences
~ Walt Whitman

Thank you for being that audience!
