Out of Necessity

Your words - Echoing
Inside a somber mind
Gives rise to emotions
Thought long ago to be
Suppressed
Not out of want, but
Necessity

  3. 'of necessity' sounds so good there. I love 4 or 5 syllable words taking up a whole line, like in a haiku or this nicely shaped poem of yours.

  4. Sometimes indeed we HAVE to find a way to suppress some thoughts / emotion. Perhaps not really to suppress them but to deal with them in a way that make them not continue to appear in our thoughts.
