Fragments

Fragrantly misting, Spritzing
Savory caramelized vanilla and macadamia
Perfectly garmenting the air

Music, habitually-music
A soul wrenching melody
Coupled with distant Friday morning laughter

Thoughts wrap like fleece
Upon a needing body
Warming to inspiration

Words trailing in and out
In... out...
Bleeding upon paper
Puddles of emotion
Droplets of feelings

  1. I like this one a lot. It's broken, jerky cinematic images but the tone links it into a poem that almost makes sense

  2. Really liked this, and nothing beats the clutter of sounds in that first stanza, and meanings too, which gently settle, fade, by the end...wonderfully done

  3. Yo Dana — I am in the half-sleep insomniac bloom of zolpidem, but I like your work. I will return when I am once again razored out to write a ringing comment! ✌🏼❤️

  4. I loved reading this poem with its fragments of sound ("Music, habitually-music") and moving (literal and metaphorical) lines

    1. Thank you! I often receive a lot of my inspiration/motivation from my senses and surroundings!

  5. I like the comfort of the beginning... so much like home, until the end comes and we realize the darkness inside.

    1. It's definitely a mixture of sensory and emotion! I tend to lean in that direction with most of what I write. Thanks!

To have great poets... there must be great audiences

Thank you for being that audience!
