Truth-beam

Wading through the ripple of time
Under a starless night
Black as the future seems
Cold as deaths stinging breath
Sending chills through a fragile heart
Seeking to penetrate a guarded mind
Struggling wave by crushing wave
Of mistrust and fake smiles
Quietly pushing toward that one
Moonbeam where the truth lies

    1. It definitely is. The dark holds a lot of space to heal and opportunity to find what you need mentally.

  5. Waves of mistrust and fake smiles...my heart goes out to that...as she wades through the murky darkness,, hope in her heart, that one moonbeam...beautiful poem of struggle and the absurdity of hope, or struggle and the steely determination of hope,...

  6. Nothing worse than those fake smiles. We know them, don't we?

    1. Thank you! I always want to express that there is light within dark. The dark is not a bad place to be in it's entirety.

To have great poets... there must be great audiences
