Oblivious

I place my hand upon the glass
That divides us
You and I
In hopes that you too
Will place your hand atop mine
And in doing so you will realize
What's been before you all this time
The things you search for
In the faces of others
The scenes you replay
In your mind
Can become your reality
If only...
Then only...
You can shatter this barrier
That deters your bliss

Lovely write! A happy ending for them both I know.
ReplyDeleteIt can be a lifes work, breaking the glass and preventing it from reforming, but it is a labour of love. Thanks for the beautifully poignant words.
ReplyDeleteBut the glass seems to be unbreakable...
ReplyDelete...you set the mood of a prisoner.... a home martyr diva or rather a caged bird longing to be freed... in the end a hint of hope could be traced... great write... smiles...
ReplyDeleteSometimes people never see what is right there in front of them... Oh, if they'd only open their eyes! Well penned.
