Night's Conquest
Stardust peppers my lashes
Setting eyes aglow
As moon beams flame my soul
Night crawls atop me as I rest on bare earth
Embracing my curves
Whispering... whispering breathlessly
Against pale skin
Seducing me toward darkness
Promising endless pleasures
Pleasure to no end...

Stardust peppering the lashes and resting on bare earth...love those images...soil has always something so soothing...a coming to rest in nature..nice...
ReplyDeleteNature is so soothing and it always gets me writing! Thanks Claudia, I appreciate you stopping by to read.
DeleteLovely. The moon definitely is seductive, isn't it? It never loses its pull, and one has to give in.
ReplyDeleteRomance lives in the stars and moon! Thanks Mary
DeleteLove the picture! The power of the moon reaching out beyond itself and into your poem...
ReplyDeleteNight crawls atop me as I rest on bare earth
ReplyDeleteEmbracing my curves...nice...i love those lines....oh the pleasures the darkness can brings squirreled away from the light of the sun...smiles...
a celebration of darkness...loved the line about stardust peppering lashes, cool!
ReplyDeleteFantastic...perhaps the sign I needed to step outside and enjoy the night while we have it...I LOVE being peppered in stardust! This was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh yes!! Lovely -- and very sensual! The moon will do that to you, won't it? Is this one of your blue moon photos? :-)
ReplyDeleteYes... it's one of my blue moon pics. I've been wanting to start using some of my pictures and this was the perfect oppurtunity.
DeleteBeautiful poem, such nice imagery, you wrote it well. I think you are much more a poet than I am... Loved it.
ReplyDeleteYour wonderful! I say the same thing about other poets I admire. I'm always wishing I could write more like them. I've been trying to come to terms with it though. We each have our own writing style. That's what sets us apart from other poets and makes us unique. Poetry would get boring if it was all the same!
DeleteBeautiful lines. Love this !
