Bird Song
Oh, how I envy thee
To be so free...
To fly with silky wings
To view the world in all her splendor
To float upon a breeze
To sing a song of devotion
To serenade the sky
To proclaim my love as I dance
To hear the earth as she sigh's
I watched with pleasure
As she came to rest
In a wooden embrace
To her... I did attest
My most intimate secrets
To me... she did sing her empathy

But you know what, I think it's because of humidity, birds in our backyard is not as much as they were a month ago. :-(
It could be because of the humidity, but its been pretty humid here and they are everywhere! Thank you for your wonderful comment and for visiting. It means a lot!
Deletesmiles...lovely...i have always wanted to fly like a bird...so free and graceful...love that you talked with it as well...i think in talking it out and letting go of things we do find that freedom...
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really do talk to the birds... but I'm not sure if they talk back. Oh the stories they would be able to tell!
Deleteoh i bet they could...smiles.
Deletesmiles...wouldn't it be cool if we could fly with them... i like the exchange here...you sharing the secrets and she singing her empathy...a bit of magic..
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have always felt a small connection with birds... I absolutely love owls!
DeleteThe bird of freedom caught well - interesting that so many children dream of flying
ReplyDeleteI know I have! Thanks for stopping by.
Deletebirds are wonderful =)
ReplyDeletewow, i love the bird song, so free to serenade the sky ~
ReplyDeleteMagic! The wish, the imaginary doing it, the talk and the empathy. Moving from an intimate "thee" to a "she," talking to her, to thee, and then we. Lovely moves. I wonder what she would say if you kept talking to her? That, I think, is a secret you dare not indulge.
ReplyDeleteBTW: I just read the intro to this page and loved it as if a poem. How neat to scoop out strings of thoughts laced and tangled and deep.
Thank you! I love your comment... so full of energy and understanding!
